Dopo aver visto alcuni videogame più amati degli ultimi tempi come League of Legends e Fortnite, oggi andremo a vedere uno dei giochi di calcio online più apprezzati e venduti in assoluto, ma dedicato al mondo del calcio: FIFA. Se non hai vissuto sulla luna gli ultimi vent’anni, sicuramente ne avrai sentito parlare e sicuramente saprai, che ogni anno, ne viene pubblicato un nuovo capitolo. Ma andiamo ora a conoscerlo meglio!

FIFA, cos’è

FIFA è una serie di videogame di calcio sviluppata e pubblicata ogni anno dalla californiana Electronic Arts. Fin dalla prima pubblicazione, avvenuta nel 1993, la serie ha dimostrato una grande giocabilità rispetto ad una simulazione più realistica, anche se questa tendenza è cambiata con l’arrivo di Pro Evolution Soccer, serie concorrente sviluppata dalla giapponese Konami.

La serie molto spesso è stata criticata per la sua staticità: grazie all’assoluto dominio nel settore infatti, la casa produttrice poteva permettersi di pubblicare delle nuove versioni del gioco, più che dei miglioramenti, aggiornamenti delle rose e implementazione grafica, col risultato che in ogni capitolo erano sempre presenti problematiche di bilanciamento e di IA che obbligavano a giocare secondo stili di gioco prestabiliti e impedendo di conseguenza, l’utilizzo di tattiche personali.

La presenza delle licenze ha reso FIFA uno dei titoli dedicati al calcio più venduti al mondo e nel novembre 2010, Electronics Art ha dichiarato di aver superato le 100 milioni di copie vendute.
